Sampling Method
We distributed 30 sets of questionnaires to our peers, who were then instructed to pass them on to their elderly relatives for their input. They had a time frame of two days to complete and return the questionnaires.
Hence, we used the non-probability, purposive method of sampling.
Method of Measurement
The questionnaires (click here for sample) had 6 questions altogether. Questions 1 to 3 were to test their quality of life while questions 4 to 6 tested whether they adopt a healthy lifestyle.
We had a system of scoring for our questionnaire. As shown in the sample, a score is allocated to each answer. Once we received the completed questionnaires, we tabulated the scores to determine each respondent's quality of life and to what extent they adopt a healthy lifestyle respectively. Then, we entered the scores into SPSS for data analysis.
